What is the inspiration behind your organization?
We are a group of friends all touched by the joyful life of Allison Meyer Sillence. Allison dedicated her life to service and non-profit work.
When undergoing treatment for cancer in 2022, she found herself and her family without the time, energy, and extra resources to partake in one of her favorite holiday traditions: decorating the house for Christmas. Discussing this issue with friends, she expressed that after her treatment she would create a service to decorate the houses of those facing similar circumstances.
Her friends and family continue this legacy after her passing: to spread joy to those who may need it.

How can I get involved?
Know anyone who could use some joy this holiday season? Individuals or organizations can fill out our request form. Wreaths will be gifted free of cost, no questions asked.
If you are feeling crafty, try your hand at wreath making (donations for the 2025 gifting season are due by November 26th.) Get friends, family, or colleagues together and make a party out of it! Let us know and Wreath It To Us board members may make a special appearance!
I'm not crafty enough for wreath making; can I still be involved?
Yes! We need help with delivery, community outreach, social media, organization management and, other technical needs. Tell us about your special skill by emailing [email protected]
How are my donations used?
100% of financial donations go towards the operation of the non-profit. We are fully volunteer run, so funds go towards items like storage, insurance, and upkeep of the website.
We also take donations of wreath supplies.
Do we only do Christmas wreaths?
The Wreath It To Us board and volunteer teams operate in some of the most diverse areas in the United States so we cater to an equally diverse public!
While some wreaths may say "Merry Christmas" the majority of wreaths that volunteers make are general or winter themed. Partners and individuals may also request special themes (race car, Santa, Hanukkah etc.) when placing orders with us!
Do you only operate during the holiday season?
Our making/gifting season is generally from August - January, serving a variety of holidays. During the off-season, we are busy preparing and fundraising. Be sure to check out our annual fundraising Chill & Cheer BBQ!

What should my wreath look like?
Wreaths can come in all shapes, sizes, and materials! Bases can be covered in ribbon, garland, paper, or other items. We suggest using synthetic decorations, so that wreaths can be reused and reloved for many years. Need inspiration? Check out the examples below or find us on instagram!
